Chen Nadler was born in 1992, she’s a dancer, performer and a choreographer, originally from Israel, Morocco and Romania, currently based in Helsinki- Finland.
 
Her dance pieces and video-art works are mainly focused on the question of human-nature relationships, the quality of feeling at “home”, while she is interested in finding ways of celebrating movement, as an opportunity to experience and express ourselves in different ways, connecting  to our core and base. 
For Chen, the movement is the only thing that keeps on being constant, giving her security, connecting her to herself and to this world in a deep way. 
She creates movement pieces for galleries, stages, natural places,  video art works, music clips, and collaborates with artists from diverse art fields. 
 
As an independent choreographer Chen’s movement language draws inspiration from nature, animals and plants, the circular path and patterns in all lives. 
Influenced by the power of imagination, Chen practices involves improvisation techniques, images that create different qualities, and playing with extremities - emotionally and physically, she is fascinated by the wind in the valley or the oak tree that connects very strongly to his roots.
Her recent dance pieces and video-art works collaborated with her partner Daniel Motola, were recognized and supported by the ‘Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts’, and ‘The Culture and Sport Ministry’ in Israel, and was invited to several international residencies and festivals. 
In 2022, her solo work TOPOPHILIA, won the first prize in Lugar Futuro Dance Festival in Portugal, and she were invited to perform in the next festival with a new piece. 
During 2022 Chen was invited to create dance pieces in the community in two projects, “dancer in the community”, supported by “The ministry of culture” in Israel, and “Shalom Project”; Israeli-German collaboration supported by the two countries.
 
As a professional dancer Chen had worked with companies and creators such as: Romeo Castellucci (IT), "Inbal Dance Theatre", Michal Mualem and Giannalberto De Filips (IT), Mor Shani (ND), Noa Zuk, Barak Marshall, Nadav Zelner, Dafi Altbeb, Roy Assaf , Gefen Liberman and Yael Averbuch, Maya Brinner (IL) and more. 
 
Chen graduated the "Maslool bikurey ha'itim" – a professional dance training program, and 'Mate Asher Dance School of Performing Arts'-in Kibbutz Ga’aton in Israel, was recognised by the Israeli army and the ‘Israeli Board of Education’ as an “excellent dancer” and received a full scholarship for the 3 year professional dance studies at 'Perrydance', New-York . 
Chen studied education for 3 years Special education and Steiner education (B.Ed.) at Oranim College, (IL). In August 2023 Chen will start her MA studies in Choreography, in Theatre Academy, Uniarts, Helsinki (FI).
